AIB Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Following the above the helpline told my husband that our letter was sent Monday. He could not confirm the address it has gone to or any of the details only that it has gone. I really don’t get it. If the letter is gone surely they can see it on our records! We moved from the house that the...

AIB Came out of fixed before October 2008 and then fixed again

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this.... we fixed for one year in 2006. In 2007 we fixed again for 5 years. Should we be looking at the amount of mortgage we had left from 2007 or 2012? FYI in the options in 2007 a tracker rate was one of them... we fixed for further 5 years and...

AIB I sold my house so what happens the 12%?

Brendan can I just confirm the 12% is an amount paid off the mortgage not cash? For those of us whom have sold the property how does that work? Will we get cash? We just sold in September 2019 couldn’t hold out any longer!

AIB AIB has accepted the Ombudsman's decision and will be rolling it out to 5,900 impacted customers

Thanks a mil again Brendan for all of your hard work and also all of the others that fought so hard over the years on this decision! Pearl I would imagine they would have to give an option how you want the funds as some have already paid back the mortgages in question (me included as we sold the...

Thanks for the input luckstar. We will definitely do that. The lady we are dealing with is also really nice and I can tell she is doing her best but seems to have a strict criteria to stick too. We were just told verbally on the phone today so will wait until the paperwork comes out and will go...

AIB won’t take husbands overtime into account for calculating mortgage amount

Hi RedOnion Tracker original margin is 1% so they are adding on an additional 1% if we move it. The new rate will be 2.1% with current ecb rates I think. We can move approx €219k to the new tracker rate (over a term of 24 years) and the remainder of the loan will be over 30 years at variable or...
