Did anyone of you open an account with one the biggest german banks?

Godfather- Why would you want to invest in Germany, if I were you I would leave the money in your country of birth! I firmly believe there is no where secure in Europe at the moment. There is huge discontent out there and I have no idea where it is going to end. I am so dismayed and upset at...

Self employed, where to keep my taxes?

dazzerb - I recommend what another poster said in a previous thread, invest in a secure home safe and store the money for the taxman in there every week, you wont earn any interest but then again you wont stand the chance of losing your money should our banks go belly up.

elderly relative has account cleared by friend

I doubt very much that an 80 year old woman on the vedge of dementia would be on AAM or have any knowledge of the impending gloom and doom re deposits. From where I am looking, this so called friend cleaned the old lady out but I am a firm believer in Karma and one day he will get his...

Who is liable for the new property tax ? Tenant or Landlord?

100 euro is peanuts for a property tax. When i say a big house i mean 5 or 6 bedrooms with as many bathrooms. Then again it is not a property tax but for some reason it is called a site tax it goes by the size of one's site. Must have something to do with the Irish obsession or love affair with...

Who is liable for the new property tax ? Tenant or Landlord?

I dont think people shoudl worry too much about it for the moment, it is only €100 per year. If you were living in London you would be paying on average £1200 per year for council tax. Personally I feel this tax should be much higher for all those who live in big houses and in doing so it...
