    Mortgage statement from Pepper

Thank you advice and Brendan. I will do both of those. We definitely need to take more constructive action as telephone calls have not been making any headway at all. I'll post back and let you know the outcome. Thanks again for your help.

    Mortgage statement from Pepper

Hi all, I just wanted to see if there were many people out there who are still yet to receive their 2014 mortgage statement from Pepper? We are former Irish Nationwide customers and I have rang them to check the status of statement but I keep getting the same response - there were system issues...

    Pension fees

Thank you very much both of you, that is really helpful. Could I ask what would be considered a reasonable fixed fee to pay up front? We have nothing to compare it to so would like to get an idea of what is fair. That certainly sounds like a better option than losing the contribtions and the...

    Pension fees

Hello all, I am reading these posts with interest as my husband is in the process of taking out a PRSA and the broker we spoke to recommended the New Ireland IRIS Lifesyle fund PRSA. We are novices in this area. I have a company pension and he was historically in the CWPS so we've never had to...

QIF Fund- Tax free property investment fund

Hi Tonster01 AIFMD came into effect on the 22nd July this year so in order to launch a QAIF now you must appoint an approved AIFM "Alternative Investment Fund Manager" and appoint a Depositary. This all results in additional costs so unless your fund will be large enough it may not be...

    New york Hotels

Hi, I wanted to re-open this thread as I have booked flights for NY in November and my mind is boggled trying to choose a hotel! Has anyone been to NY recently and stayed somewhere that's not too expensive but pretty decent? I have been to NY before and stayed in the Edison and while the...

    Barcelona Hotel Recommendation

I can highly recommend the Hotel Jazz, just off Playa Catalunya. We stayed there last year and found it very comfortable and convenient. It's walking distance to Las Ramblas and you have the airport bus and several Metro stations within easy reach. It's clean and modern with a lovely roof top...

    Paris v. Barcelona

I've been to both but I think I'd recommend Barcelona for the same reasons as Declanja - Paris will be freezing in Nov! I was there in April and it was still freezing! However both places are fantastic, if you go prepared for the cold you'll have a great time in Paris. Depends on what you want...

Poor quality coat - do I have any rights?

Thanks galleyslave. I am going back to the store on Sunday. I just wanted to check and maybe have some concrete information before going in. I'm afraid they're just going to tell me that there's nothing they can do as I've worn it and it's due to wear and tear - which I do think is unreasonable...

Poor quality coat - do I have any rights?

Hello, I purchased a coat exactly 7 weeks ago from a well known store in Dubin. I only started wearing it about 4 weeks ago when the weather got really cold but it looks like a rag already. It's made of a woven / tweed like material but it has gone really fluffy and bally already. The coat...

    Expenses from Aer Lingus

Do not dispair. My sis and I put in for our expenses around the day after we came home so in the last week of April and we got our refund about a week ago. For the full amount that we applied for too! We were worried as well because we had heard nothing at all and then we got the acknowledgement...

    good rate?

Hello, I have also been offered this rate by Irish Nationwide and am currently on their variable at 2.74%. Touch wood - we do not have any difficulty paying the mortgage at the moment and could afford an increase. In this case do you think it is wise to fix? Or should we just hang on and see...
