This is interesting too.. KBC argue in my case that as my letter of offer was issued before the flyer I am not impacted. However your Letter of offer was issued after the flyer yet you too are not impacted. It seems they are only working to applications after the flyer date .

Hi @Calamity. Just curious as to why you were not included within the circa 450 customers they redressed initially as you seem to fall within the flyer dates? Do you know if your letter of offer was issued prior to 06th Nov?

Not sure how the process actually works, but in terms of timeframe it seems anything from 9 to 18 months

Payments varied from month to month depending on surplus cash available. Interest was applied quarterly throughout the term of the loan on outstanding balance. As the balance decreased so did the interest charged. Don’t have exact figures to hand just now, but can dig them out.

Not sure you are correct there. I just cleared a BOI loan, made regular additional payments without issue and cleared the loan in 3 years rather than the contractual 5. Banks will not refuse money. My additional payments were much ad-hoc and depended on surplus cash at the end of each month

If you are married, you would need to submit a joint application if the mortgage is for a PPR.

Due to the EU Mortgage Credit Directive getting a Mortgage on a foreign income will be quite difficult. You will be very limited in the banks that will actually lend. It may only be BOI that will consider an application and even then they will only consider a % if your salary (possibly about 80%)
