Hi!
I am looking at applying for a job as an elderly/disabled carer. As I live in a moderately rural area most runs will require a decent amount of driving. As I will be using my own car to do these miles, I will be given a certain amount of mileage allowance for the miles that I do (if I take planned routes between houses) which I believe is about 45p/mile. I was wondering if this money is taxable as income? I'd be working part time so with the hours I'd plan to do I would be only just under the personal allowance amount according to this tax tool. Hope someone can help me out with this
Thanks in advance!
