Yucca Plant care

Hi,

just received gift of yucca plant.......yipee!!

Anyone any idea how to maintain, eg can it be kept in porch?
 
Yucca is a desert plant. Needs good light - no draughts, regular watering (but I find that not a lot of water is needed). If your porch is sunny it might do well there....

do you have a second name for your 'yucca' - for example if its yucca filamentosa it should be outside - however the yucca aloifolia is indoor etc.

I have a Yucca in an enclosed porch for a number of years. It grows really well. Twice it got to about 7ft and I cut it back to the wood (about 3ft) and it has sprouted again and is growing happily
 

sorry for this [intending to sound very polite] question but... are we not supposed to keep the information search or 'the askabout' within the 'homes and gardens'?

ps nice one kilomike - i never had the goolies to do that to my mams - not the know how just fancied living longer without fear of a four foot woman...
