Hi there, I'm single with 2 kids and am looking into applying for affordable housing. I work 4 days a week in a permanent job, earning approx 28,000 a year. Can anyone give me any insight into the affordable housing scheme? Is the shared ownership the same thing? And do I have to show a record of 2,000 savings or can I borrow money from family to put in the credit union? I'm renting at the moment, paying 1,000 per month - not entitled to rent allowance cause my salary is in excess. Although I'm on the housing list. Any advice would be so helpful, thanks in advance.
