Wireless House Alarm - Cost?

Hey everyone,

Can any of you in the know or have experiences of getting a wireless alarm?

The house i am in has to get an alarm fitted.

I assume that the larger the house, the more it will cost?

I got a Phonewatch alarm into a house I'm renovating. It cost just under a thousand for a 3 bed semi with patio doors and a garage. Extra devices are about 70 extra each.

Is that once off, or is there a monthly sub as well?

There's an annual fee if you want monitoring.

An annual service agreement is available also but only packaged with monitoring (at an extra cost of course).

TBH a monitored alarm is a no go. I was thinking more along the lines of the cost to get a wireless alarm fitted either by myself or by supplier

S'cuse me igorance, but if you get the wireless system and then build an extension, is it a big job to get it changed?
