Will i pass the NCT?

I failed the test because of the driver's side window, wont go up and down, the motor is broken. Could i remove the motor and attach some kind of handle to the actual glass to move it up and down? with some kind of clip on top so it stays secure when up? would this "manual" window pass the test. im very doubtful but thought id ask.

if it goes up and down with the proper handle it will pass.alot of cars have electric in the front and manual in the back so once its working and working correctly then its 100%

It will have to be quite secure, The concern with a DIY fix would be that the glass could come loose in a crash,

Would it not be quicker/easier to get a motor from a breakers and replace it? Will look less shoddy when your selling the car too.
