My financial situation is messy. I am in arrears in investment properties and in severe negative equity.

Basically I feel I have to decide is personal insolvency or bankruptcy or attempting to get a debt write down the best way forward.
Or if there is another option I am not thinking of.

I want someone to outline the steps involved and consequences of each action and also help me in deciding what is the best way forward - or what could I expect if the bank do enter negotiations with me.

Can anyone recommend a person / company that provide this service please.

Thanks

You should speak to Steve Thatcher in regards to bankruptcy. He posts on here quite frequently.

Is he not more of a bankruptcy / uk bankruptcy specialist?

I was looking got someone Dublin based that also specialises in personsl insolvency and irish bankruptcy (as well as uk bankruptcy).

Also - part of my debt is owed to the vat man so ideally someone wiill have knowledge around this area.
And someone who can 'think outside the box' in terms of debt solutions and consequences in dealing with the bank.

Basically an expert in this field that covers all of these.

There are a few organisations like New Beginnings you could talk to. Consult for them is €150 approx and then another €450 if you want them to act on your behalf. They weren't able to do a whole lot for us but could be worth it?
I'm sure there are financial advisors out there but I would be doubtful if their experience given this financial meltdown is still so raw.
Best of luck anyway.

Contact frost.ie - they are very helpful and will provide an assessment and dont charge a fee.

Given you state in another thread that you live in the UK perhaps it would be worthwhile contacting Steve Thatcher anyway?
