Where to save?

Hi all,
Myself and my other half are just beginning to save for our wedding - we will be saving €500 + per month for the next year to year and a half.
I have never been a saver in the past and just want to know where do you think the best place is to put our savings into?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
 
am i wrong in saying that the best buys list hasn't been updated since 2005, and is therefore out of date? is there an updated one anywhere?
 
The best buys are updated and confirmed as current at various dates. See here for the thread on regular saving. While the original posts may be from 2005, they are updated/edited from time to time by those who spend time to confirm all the info is correct. See, for example, Mugs Game's post at the end of the thread linked to above.
