Where are distressed houses advertised for auction?

I know there was a (bank of scotland ireland) auction earlier this year - and will be another alsop auction in July. However, is there anywhere else that such properties are auctioned - and if so, where should one look out for same? I'm thinking particularly in terms of the Galway City market.
 
Generally sellers of distressed properties dont like it to be known that they are distressed, so they just use regular auctioneers in the regular way. The recent auction of distressed property was something new for Ireland.

Other than that you could contact liquidators telling them what you are interested in. There are not very many liquidators in the country and they are all registered. Bank managers in your local area may also be worth contacting.
