What requirements needed to turn a pub or club into a lapdance venue.

Can anyone jump in and give some info please, my friends are wanting to lease a pub with a late bar license and 2 bars and are thinking of turning the current pub (closed at present) into a lapdance venue

Any thoughts anyone?

this was an issue in Kilkenny recently and there were Court appearances re licence etc so a look at the local papers may be of help

Was it the Nimbys that put an end to Stringfellows, or the lack of customers willing to pay?
 
Thanks for all of your replies, this is no longer an option for the people involved due to the size of the venue and the area / town it is in

I'm pretty sure that it was the latter. Local protestors simply raised awareness about the place giving it free publicity. Didn't do it much good. For some strange reason some people seemed to think that denizens of the likes of Parnell and Dominick Streets were somehow not really entitled to voice their opinions on such developments in their area.
