What is the minimum debt owned for the Sheriff not to bother with?

I have a utility bill that was passed onto a debt colletion agency. They wanted me to pay x amount per week which I agreed too. Some weeks I have been unable to meet the full repayment so paid a lesser amount instead. I have since been threatened by them that they will seek legal action and I will be required to pay their legal fees if I do not pay up. The debt currently stands at EUR50.00 approx. I am almost finished paying it.

Surely, the Sherriff couldn't be bothered chasing this debt down?
 
It doesn't matter how small the debt is they can come after you. Remember their are expenses to be be gained from chasing debts, even a miniscule debt like the one you have mentioned.
