I'm recently separated and looking into what benefits i'm entitled to. I'm in full time employment, full time creche fees for 2 kids, plus mortgage and i'm robbing peter to pay paul every week. I've been looking into benefits but i seem to be above the cut off for any FIS or one parent family payments since they dont appear to take into account any mortgage or childcare commitments which are a good chunk of my wages every week! I'm looking into cutting back my hours but I could still be waiting a while before I'd be entitled to any social welfare payment and then if I dont get it i'll be committed to 12 months (employer requires reduced hours to be committed to on a 12 month basis) on reduced hours and reduced pay and still having the same issue. Any advice appreciated!
