I ordered a sink online - wall hung and bottle trap. The supplier called up to say they couldnt supply the exact one but could supply a similar alternative.
The sink a moods-amyris-1-tap-hole-basin-with-semi-pedestal-600mm

The sink arrived (just the sink) but when I look it up it is advertised with a semi-pedestal - is the semi pedestal required to install the sink or can it be wall hung without it.
The plumber has already plumbed up for this sink and the walls being tiled.

Semi pedestal just covers the trap and pipework underneath the sink, more for vanity.

Thanks Dirac just to confirm - the bottle trap will work fine with the sink wall mounted directly.

Yes, the traps on any of them I've ever seen work independently of the mount.
