VW Golf Engine Diagnostic Light

The diagnostic light on our 02 VW Golf came on yesterday morning. Can anybody recommend a garage (preferably not a dealership) near Grand Canal Street that can plug in ODB and diagnose the problem.

Is it a petrol golf? If it is and car not running great, it's a coil.
