UB Fixed term. Early withdrawal??

I have some money in a 6month fixed term Ulster Bank account. Unfortuantly my circumstances have changed and I might need to access the money. Theres 3 months to run on the account.

I can't find anything in the T&C, but does anyone know if early withdrawal is possible and if so what the penalty would be? I can't get in contact with Ulster Bank deposits team until monday and want to know. If I can't withdraw, I'll try take a short term personal loan out against the amount in the account

Officially speaking, you cannot get access to your money until maturity date.

Unofficially speaking, I have read stories of Ulster Bank customers being able to get money out before maturity date with accrued interest and no penalty!

In a nutshell, you will need to speak to UB in person on Monday. I would think that there is a good chance that they will assist you. A good sob story may help!
