Typical cost of Attic Conversion

Hi, I have a standard 1950's 4 bed semi-D.

garage to one side and a Hipped Roof

I have seen a few houses where they have added a big dormer window to the back of the attic and a big dormer to the side elevation of the hipped roof, to create the height for the staircase.

Does anyone have a ballpark on how much that type of attic conversion costs, how long it takes, does an architect need to be involved etc etc.

Around 30k, would advise to get good architect, and several quotes, hope that helps

Hi,

Try this chap. Paul on 0864074915. He called to us, organised drawings, submitted them for planning and got 3 quotes. His fee if I remember correctly was around 1200 euros and I would have no problems recommending him as he was very professional.
