We are going to spend a week travelling from Seville to Faro in late September. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to visit en route? We won’t have a car so will be travelling by bus or rail. Had considered Granada but think it may be too far to travel to as we don’t want to spend half the week travelling to get to places?

http://www.andalucia.com/ might be helpful? I know lots of nice places heading south into Cadiz province, but not in the opposite direction. Depending on your tastes, the Donana National Park could be nice, but unless you have a car you'd have to hook up with an organised coach tour...
