Travel Insurance for 1 year

HI. Our family of three children are thinking of moving abroad for 1 year to volunteer with a charity. Does anyone have experience of travel insurance for a family with young children. We have been given some horrendous quotes, in excess of 3K, which is way above our budget. Do any people here have experience of getting cover while abroad longer term. Thanks,

You can get individual policy for gap years for €384. What exactly are you looking to cover??

WE are a family of 3 children under 7 years, and two parents. Looking for health cover especially, but if not to much extra travel would be an added bonus. will be based in Thailand and travelling from there around Asia on short trips, 1-2 weeks per trip doing volunteer charity work.
