Transfer of Equity. Name removed from mortgage.

Hi - I've just recently been divorced and as part of the settlement I have bought my husband out of the family home. My solicitor will be writing to the mortgage providers in relation to having my ex-husbands name removed from the deeds but I would also like to sort the mortgage (though I am not required to). I've briefly spoken with a rep and he is going to send me the Transfer of Equity form. I found this on line

Is anyone familiar with this process - having someone removed from a mortgage? Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated on this as I have a lot of stuff to wade through and any help would make this much easier. Thank you
