Transfer large amount of funds from an EBS current a/c to a mainstream UK bank current a/c

Is this possible? If not what are the options? Its a six figure sum.

I will check at an EBS branch but just asking in advance here.

"Wise" (previously known as Transferwise) is an excellent & cost effective method to move money internationally whether you are changing denominations or not. Works just fine for six figure sums too. I can't recommend it highly enough.

5k limit - Urrgh, that's brutal in this day & age.

Give the branch notice that you are planning to attend in person to make a large outbound transfer (name the amount) & request an official appointment & request that the Branch employee is both capable & authorised to make such a transaction.

Really looking to see if someone has actually done this at EBS to get a heads up.

I already said that I will go to the branch so thats a given eventually.
