Training to rejoin workforce

Wife minds our 2 young pre-school children at moment. Gave up secretarial job a few years ago as wage would not pay for childminder. Thinking about undertaking further training to help rejoin workforce in a few years when things pick up. Any ideas of courses/qualifications which would increase chances of landing job. Does not necessarily have to be office/secretarial work

What is it that your wife would like to do? There is no point recommending courses without narrowing it down a little at least. What qualifications does she have at present?

try some kind of counselling course's they unfortuneately will be in great demand before this recession is over

Counselling courses are extremely expensive to complete. Apart from the study, they involve paying a counsellor (as you have to undergo counselling yourself) and a lot of unpaid hours before getting certified. I have friends who have done it and one said the cost added up to about €14K over 4 years.
