More advice please:-

Hubby has been told that throttle housing on his VW Bora needs replacing. Can anyone advise as to where he might be able to buy a replacement in the North.

Thanks.

Am surprised this need to be done.
Anyhoo, for new parts, try eurocarparts.com or gsfcarparts.com.
There's also a big breakers in Armagh or Down that are well known. They could possibly help you out. http://www.traynors.co.uk/

Thanks for your reply.

Why are you "surprised this needs to be done". The engine is stalling when it reaches the correct temperature.:( He is selling the car, took it to a small garage/car mechanic, explained the position - the mechanic offered to buy it!!!!. The mechanic checked it out and said there is something wrong with the throttle housing. Any suggestions??? If it needs replacing Mr. Sally wants to buy a new part and replace it before selling it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are after used parts try www.partsgateway.co.uk
I have used it several times and nearly always comes back with what I wanted. You have to register, submit what it is you are looking , they send it out to a load of breakers and then quotes come back inc postage.

Thanks for that, but he wants to buy a new part. We're based in Dublin - just thought we might gett a better price up North - perhaps not.
