The Last Word - Today FM: Dunphy or Cooper?

Purple, I agree in a large sense with your ideas opn George Hook, I think alot comes down to his lack of confidence (read his autobio and you can start to see why), but I don't know about being anti-US, he veers from being neutral to pro to anti, he's neither liberal nor conservative and in a way it helps a little more.

David McWilliams has talent but as with anyone it takes a good producer/team to get the best out of him, I like his work but veyr often he let the subject dictate interviews and it killed the whole deal.

Matt Cooper I do enjoy, but he's not strong enough when it comes to sports (in general) and it lets down the overall package. Eamonn Dunphy was at his best on Roy Keane and ManU, but he did speak really brilliantly on hurling at times (he has always maintained it's the best sport in the world and his 1st love).
