Tesco & Apple - a parting of the ways?

I was in a Tescos mega huge giant Extra shop yesterday and wandered over to the Apple display to play with some new cool tech I can't afford, and there it was, gone!

No sleek iPads or MacBook Pros, no iMacs, no dazzlingly white peripherals or gold accessories, nothing. Is there a story here? A staff-member said the Apple polishers were due in today to take their display-stand and graphics away.

Is the largest, richest, coolest, most successful tech outfit in the world tired of the sick grocer missing payment deadlines or can Tesco not afford to train staff for other than the me-too Windoze & Android stuff?

Never got the Apple / Tesco thing to be honest. Apple clearly positions itself at the premium market and is obsessive about its marketing and appearance. Meanwhile in Tesco, the iPads are pretty close to the MaxiPads!

Yeah I never saw a great fit between the two organisations either.

And another irony is that the iphone5s and iphone 6 have problems when roaming with Tesco!!!! Now I wonder....
