terms and conditions of new contract

Hi,

My employer has informed us today that he has agreed to sell his business to a larger competitor. As a result all business will be moved to the competitors location.

I hope to be offered a position in the new organisation but am wondering if legally my new terms and conditions have to match those that I am on now.

Any info would be appreciated.
