Temporary versus Permanent Contracts

I am currently employed by a US Multinational in the West. I have been employed through a series of Temporary Contracts for 2 years and 10 Months now the Company is letting people on Temporary Contracts go and I was just wondering where do I stand legally, do I have a right to redundancy payments? Am I entitled to a Permanent Contract as some people have who were only there 2 years. This company seems to offer permanant contracts depending on how business is going at the time of renewal. Am I entitled to be treated the same as someone with a Permanent Contract ?
