Tax relief on refuses to cease. Union dues next to go?

The Government announced to-day tax relief on refuse charges will cease after next year. Wonder why union dues not hit?

Refuse charges tax relief was introduced as an incentive for people to use local authorities and independent contractors to dispose of their waste and claim tax relief .

Union Dues tax relief was introduced as an incentive for people to join trade unions and claim tax relief .

Given the present state of the economy - don't be surprised to see the government reviewing this union dues relief .

It's quite possible that all such reliefs will disappear over the next few years.
