Tax relief on new house??

Where and how do you apply for tax relief on a house. We have just bought a new house in Athy and i have been told to apply for some sort of tax form that gives you tax relief on your mortgage. What exactly is this and where and when do i apply for it?

See [broken link removed]. Your lender should have supplied you with a partly-filled TRS1 form (bearing the loan a/c details) when you drew down the loan.
