I am going abroad shortly and am renting my property here. Its my only home. A. will i have to pay tax on the rental income here . Do i have to fill a tax return at the end of the year and what if any would the tax be likely on 700 euro a month.

Well, you will be liable to tax on the rent a. because you are resident and b. the property is situated in Ireland. You will have to file a tax return for 2012 and future years. Tax is due on the rental income less 75% of the mortgage interest and other allowable expenses. If you are non resident you pay 20% on the profit and may also be liable in the country of residence.
