Switch for electric shower getting hot - electrician or plumber?

Hi All

The switch for the electric mira shower (situated outside the bathroom) gets very hot while using the shower. Also, if I switch off the shower, and put it back on after a few minutes, it doesn't work. It only works after the switch cools down.

Any ideas what could be wrong? And is it an electrician I would need to have a look at it or would I need a plumber?

Electrician.

Your supply to the shower is probably not of the required size cable causing it to heat as the shower pulls a huge amount of current through. Most likely will need to rewire from the fuseboard if undersized cable in situ.

Lose connection, switch/wire may be damaged due to same. Job for an electrician or dare I say it DIY...
