Stopping working a few years into a mortgage

What happens when after a few years of mortgage you stop working (or take a less well paid job)? Are you obliged to notify the mortgage provider or will they care as long as you can pay the mortgage?

I don't think that they need to know as long as you can make the repayments. If you cannot then contact them ASAP to come to some arrangement.

As long as you make your repayments in full and on time you will not have a problem. Unless it was a T&C of the contract you are not obliged to notify them
