stone cladding

Anybody know a rough cost per sq. metre or yard of getting stone cladding done, or where I might be able to find out. Am in the process of applying for planning permission and want to stone clad just the front of the house, but would like a rough idea of how much it would cost. Incidentially the front of the house will have nine windows and a porch which I presume makes it more awkward to stone and thus may cost more.

we got the three sides of our house done in granite and it cost approx 30,000 to it done the father in law is a stone mason so this was a bit of a knock down price but he currently charges 100 a sq yard. The windows only work out more expensive if u decide to put lentils around them. hope this is of some help

100/m2would be a very good rate. It depends on what part of the country you are in. Some councils will only let you use local stone ( stone that is quarried nearby, how near could be up to debate) As stated earlier it is morse expensive to use solid stone cills, heads and reveals, using brick here could save
