Can someone please advise on what are a divorcee rights to my Basic State Pension? I lived in Ireland for 11 years and contributed PRSI during this time, qualifying for a basic proportional state pension to my contributions.
I am drafting my divorce agreement and I would like to kno what the Irish law says about the divorcee right to the Basic State Pension (I am working on the assumption she is entitled to 50% of my Private DC private pension). I am not sure about the State pension though.
In the UK, it seems to be excluded (as per: https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en/articles/dividing-pensions-on-divorce-or-dissolution)
I don't seem to find any similar advice for Ireland, though. Can anyone shed light on this?
