sorry i posted this in the welfare and state benefits forum first by accident.
Hi there
I have been workin part time 3 days a week and claiming casual dole for the last 6 months. I got a letter at the end of march stating that my job seekers benefit is running out and at the same time my hours were reduced to 1 day in work.
I got an interview and then a job offer last monday. job will be two days a week plus i'll have my 1 day at my other job.
I was called in today for a trial day and i'm starting properly on the 30th of April.
My last slip i have for the benefit is dated till end of next week.
So Can i send the last one in and tell them then that i'm starting work. I was only in today for 3 hours and they put me on the payroll system and i probably will get paid for it but its not much. Will they know before i tell them in a weeks time?

ps i'm living at home so cant get JA, even though in total i'll be working only 3 days
