Hi,
Whats needed by a solicitor for them to sign a contract to purchase a property off plan on a purchaser's behalf...? This relates to an off plan purchase of a flat in London and the solicitor is based in London.

Does anyone have any experience of this???

I'm not a solicitor but usually if a client gives their solicitor a power of attorney, that will do it.

Be aware though that with some clients hightailing it/disappearing into the sunset........some solicitors would prefer (some/all of) their clients to sign their own contracts.

It is a remarkable truism that when people have no-one but themselves to take responsibility for their own actions they tend to be more careful!
