Solar Panels & Building New House - when to put in?

Hi,
Just a general question as the roof is going up now in the next couple of weeks. Does it matter if the Solar Panels go up before the slate goes on OR will we put the slates on and then put the solar panels on. I know we can do both ways, but is one method any better than the other. ?Thanks in advance guys

For asthetics install the inroof type flat panels now as the roof is being latted/felted/slated.
If your not to bothered on how the finished roof looks then install on roof tubes as they are approx. 10% more efficient.

you can put the flat panels in too it'l just be a bit more costly to weather proof the roof later tha it would be now..tiles/slates would need to be stripped etc
