I was wondering which option would be more financially wise: to purchase additional benefits as part of the Single Pension Scheme or to invest the same lump sum in AVCs. I am already paying into AVCs but have never bought additional Single Scheme benefits. I’ve been contributing to a Single Scheme pension for over 4 years.
