Laya Simplicity upcoming price increase

Someone had mentioned in an earlier post that renewing before your official date can result in lower premium so I just checked Laya Simplicity for my renewal date of Sept 1st. It was €1087.
I put in August 31st and the price dropped to €997.92, so saving of €178 odd for two.
I'm going to phone later to do this. It wasn't an online discount - as discussed in previous thread- but just policy increase on day of my renewal.
Just in case it might help anyone else.

Before you renew, check if that cover is from the start of the month. If so then you may only be covered until August 1st next year so only get 11 months cover which would wipe out any savings.

Exactly. You are correct. I phoned to check and that is what they said..
Oh well.
