Hi all,

I've been asked to quote on a design project for a company based in Israel. What are the implications regarding tax and VAT for such a transaction?

I am a sole trader registered for VAT in Ireland.
The services are digital document design and web design, so no physical product would be shipped.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

As Israel is outside the EU, and VAT is an EU tax, you should not charge VAT for the provision of your services.
I would suggest that you confirm this with your accountant.

Treat it as a normal sale except there should be zero VAT.

Thanks guys. That's pretty much what I thought but just always like to get confirmation from the experts here.

Cheers.
