Sat - Nav Query.

Hi all,

I recently bought a garmin nuvi unit.I'm going to be heading to UCD belfield campus 2 or 3 times in the next 2 months in connection with a degree I'm doing at the present. The satnav unit doesnt seem to have either UCD or belfield campus in the memory base and keeps suggesting belfield lane or avenue.

Any suggestions or help appreciated as the campus is quite big and I dont want to arrive up tight on time and find myself at the wrong end.

You could look up where you want to go on Google Maps. Add the GPS Location Maplet (access it through My Maps - Browse the Directory). When you click on where you want to go it will give you the GPS coordinates.

Then enter the location in your sat nav using the coordinates - the minuses are important.
 
I have used a nuvi to get to a gas compound in UCD

This is inside UCD campus beside the stillorgan gate.

5318.62-613.24

Go to co-ordinates. and ad in above.

Once you get to the UCD bridge take it and ignore the last few 100 meters of the directions.

Then save the exact place you want to be in favourites.
 
which is a good car sat nav to get, for Ireland, UK and France? They can all be used in any car I presume?
