Roaming with 3 Bband in UK

Hi,

Has anyone ever roamed with 3 bband in the UK? I think I need to connect to the UK 3 network and I'm wondering if this is 3(R) - that's what I'm getting in my connection information under 3G.

Sorry excuse my stupidity,but can you buy something that will give you broadband for a laptop in the uk without having to have a landline and what is cheapest option.

mobile broadband - 3's service can be used in UK and Ireland at no extra cost once you stay within the limit, however I think you need to notify 3 in your own country in advance (one off) if you plan to use you Irish 3 broadband in the UK, and vice versa.
