Anyone any info about Rhodes in general and Kremasti in particular? We're hoping for a quiet time, ie staying away from Falaraki, but would like to try watersports... and possibily a visit to another island or two? Booked a last minute deal and now looking for last minute info!!

I was there YEARS ago, but thought there was loads to do- there are ferries to other islands as well as to Turkey, and there are day trips within the island too- I think there is a butterfly park, and lovely quiet beaches in various parts. If its still there, there was a gorgeous Italien restaurant in the square of the old town that made pasta dishes in front of you - and it was gorgeous.
 
Thanks all - that sounds wonderful. I was just starting to panic 'cos I'd heard a lot of bad things about the Falaraki end of the island - but as long as I have a quiet beach, a good book and the odd decent meal I'm happy! You know you're over 30 when the thought of 'young and lively' fills you with horror!
