Just had some building work and lawn has suffered as bricks were left on it for a couple of weeks..grass is bare in patches and undulating as vehicles driven over it..is there anything I can do now or should I just leave till March till grass begins to grow again..thanks

Where the bricks were should be no problem - grass should regrow. If not, a handful of seed would do the trick.

Vehicle marks could be more troublesome - depending on your soil, compaction could affect the structure long-term. You could spike the area to promote drainage, fill in with fresh soil and reseed the grass. Probably better in the spring as everywhere is waterlogged now. To plant something other than grass, it would probably be best to dig it over, incorporating grit or gravel to promote looser texture before planting.

Hope this helps.

We had the same problem early last year when we moved back to the house after major work was done. We filled the parts where the vehicles had gone over with compost so the garden was more or less level and put down grass seed it looks fine now
