Refund from Revenue Commissioners

Hi
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing delays in getting refund from Rev Comm. JAn / Feb submitted early march - sent in supporting documents April, and still awaiting them to finish examining - do they have time limit? This is disrupting business. any advice would be welcome
 
Delays are long. The Revenue have a responsibility to deal with your affairs in a timely manner - Tax Payers Charter. In practice this means nothing and like a lot of legislation you are totally at the whim of the departments involved. The Revenue staff are a pretty disillusioned lot. There is very little supervision and there is very little you can do if you meet an inefficient or incorrect officer.
 
What sort of Tax, is it VAT? Do you have any other taxes outstanding that is causing the delay?

Did you file on ROS, if so when you log in what does the status say?

Could it have been refunded to the wrong bank account?
