Receive photos on mobile - how?

I'm hopeless with technology. Even a 5 year old would probably know the answer to this, but here goes!! I have a Vodafone mobile phone (cheap, nothing special, model 527). I can take photos on it and send photos on it. I recently received texts from a friend, with photos, but I can't see the photos. There is a message about going onto the internet to see them, but is there any other way that I can see them? Would appreciate suggestions. Thank you.

Ring vodafone on 1907 and tell them you want them to enable the phone to that you can receive picture texts. I had to do it a few weeks ago - they do something on their end and you switch it off and back on and bingo - picture texts are enabled.
