Query regarding IP CCTV Options & Set Up

Hope I have right section.

I am just wondering does anybody have any experience setting up IP CCTV? It's something I am considering getting having the option to check on the house via internet when I am away would be an attractive option.

Not looking for an massive set up, purely 1/2 rooms. Streaming quality would only need to average, not HD.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

And I control it using Blue Iris running on a dell 755. I have it set to ZERO pre motion frames for performance reasons.

Would recommend a fanless pc if buying one for the job.

You can power it using POE or else using seperate power. Just hook it up to network using a powerline extender. Pop some port forwarding on the router and use a dyndns account to access it from home.
