I got a quartz top for a kitchen island from Stone world in bagnalstown, Carlow about 15 years ago.
I can't remember the price, but it was a fair bit lower than others. I also remember that their service and knowledge was particularly good.
They had a large yard with slabs everywhere so you could pick the exact piece.

I would also highly recommend granite tops.
There was an issue with our install at the time and they fixed it at significant expense to them. Probably one of the most professional supplies I have ever worked with.
